Sophie Fosker is Gender Programme Co-ordinator for England in the UK Poverty Programme, based in Manchester. She runs a programme which focuses on the economic empowerment of women in poverty. She works with local and regional partners mostly based in the north of England.
This blog is the online space for debate and discussion on tackling poverty in the UK. You will find a wide range of authors – journalists, politicians, NGO workers, and most importantly, ordinary people, sharing their experiences and thoughts on poverty in the UK.
