Mike Danson is Professor of Scottish and Regional Economics at the University of the West of Scotland, as well as Co-director of the Scottish Centre for Island Studies, Treasurer and Scottish Convenor of the Academy of Social Sciences, and Fellow of the Institution of Economic Development and of the Regional Studies Association. He co-organised the 'Whose Economy?' seminar series with Katherine Trebeck, Research and Policy Officer for UK Poverty in Scotland.
