We've developed a series of Advocacy Manuals for each north Indian state in both Hindi & English, which detail some 35 government services available to the poor. For each service we give:- *The relevant government dept; *The entitlements available; *The application procedure; and *Advocacy suggestions should the application not succeed at first, including using the Right to Information Act. It's hoped that any genuine individual or group can use the manuals to assist their poor neighbours / friends to avail the benefits to which they're entitled. The manuals have proved quite popular, with about 20,000 downloads so far.
